Home networking cable

The JIMTAB CAT6 is a flat Ethernet cable built for indoor networks that need a reliable 1 Gbps link over long runs. Its 98.42 ft length reaches between rooms or floors without extra joiners, making it suited for home offices, media centres or any device with an RJ45 port. The black PVC jacket resists everyday wear while staying flexible enough to route under carpets or along skirting boards.

Thermals noise power

As a passive copper cable it generates no heat, draws no power and operates in complete silence. The unshielded crystal connectors and PVC insulation handle normal indoor temperatures without degradation, so the link stays stable whether the run sits in a warm loft or behind a desk. No fan noise, coil whine or thermal throttling can occur because there are no active components.

Build fit

The flat profile lets the cable slip through tight gaps, under doors or along baseboards where round cables would bulge, freeing up routing options in finished rooms. RJ45 plugs at both ends connect directly to routers, switches, PCs, consoles or smart TVs with no adapters required. Buyers who need shielded cabling for high-interference environments or runs exceeding 100 metres will need a different specification.

Questions about this item

How do I route the 98.42 ft flat PVC cable through a tight door frame without kinking it?

Lay the flat profile straight, feed the RJ 45 connector through first, then pull the cable slowly so the thin PVC jacket slides along the frame without folding.

When will the unshielded crystal heads on this CAT6 cable need replacement?

Replace the RJ 45 plugs if the latch tabs snap, pins bend, or corrosion appears after repeated insertions; the PVC jacket itself lasts years under normal indoor use.

At what point does the 1000 Mbps link saturate during a sustained large-file transfer?

The 1 Gbps rated speed caps throughput at roughly 1000 Mbps; real-world sustained transfers typically peak near that limit when both endpoints and the switch support full gigabit operation.
