Rose Chia Pet Planter

This handmade terracotta planter is shaped like Rose from the classic 1980s television series The Golden Girls. It arrives as a complete kit with a plastic drip tray and enough chia seeds for three separate plantings. The item is intended as a novelty gift or decorative indoor collectible for adults.

Before ordering

Confirm you have a stable indoor surface that can hold a pottery planter and its drip tray without risk of water damage. The kit uses soil and water, so the chosen spot should tolerate occasional moisture and allow easy access for daily watering while the seeds germinate. No electrical connection or special tools are required.

Who this suits

Collectors of television memorabilia and anyone who enjoys simple, repeatable gardening projects will appreciate the reusable design and the nostalgic character likeness. Buyers who want a self-watering system, a larger planting capacity, or an outdoor-rated container should look at something else.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the Rose Chia Pet and do I need to buy anything else?

The package contains the handmade terracotta planter, a plastic drip tray, chia seed packets for three plantings and a planting and care instructions sheet. No extra items are required to start growing.

Which version of the Golden Girls Chia Pet is this and how many characters are in the full collection?

This is the Rose version modelled on Betty White's character. The manufacturer notes there are four Golden Girls Chia Pets to collect in total.

What does the 1 to 2 week growth claim mean once I plant the seeds on the planter?

It means the chia sprouts will cover the pottery surface with a full green coat in that time, after which the planter can be washed and replanted again using the remaining seed packets or similar herb seeds.
