What the K-Tech B5 speaker is and who it suits

The K-Tech B5 is a pocket-sized 3 watt portable speaker that connects through a 3.5 mm auxiliary jack. It draws power from its own rechargeable cell so the host device keeps its charge. The tiny 47 mm cube weighs only 44 grams and fits in a shirt pocket. Anyone wanting instant audio without pairing steps will find it straightforward.

Who should consider it and who should look elsewhere

Listeners who want a simple wired boost for phones, tablets or MP3 players will appreciate the plug-and-play approach. Buyers who need wireless streaming, multi-room sync or a built-in microphone for calls cannot use this model. The single 1.8 inch driver and 1800 hertz upper frequency limit also mean it is not suited for critical music listening or deep bass reproduction.

The specification that decides fit

The only connection is a 3.5 mm line-in jack; if your device lacks that socket or a compatible adapter the speaker will not work. No Bluetooth, USB audio or other interfaces are present.

Questions about this item

Does the B5 speaker come with a 3.5 mm audio cable or do I need to buy one separately?

The box contains the speaker, a micro USB charging cable and an English user manual. A 3.5 mm audio cable is not included and must be purchased separately.

Should I choose the 3 W version or a higher-powered model for a small desk?

This model delivers 3 W total power from a single 1.8-inch coaxial driver in a 1.0 configuration, suited for personal listening at close range.

What does the 1800 Hz response bandwidth mean when I plug the speaker into my phone?

The speaker reproduces frequencies from 50 Hz up to 1800 Hz, so vocals and mid-range audio come through clearly while deep bass and high treble are limited.
