Complete Caribbean Strategy Bundle

This downloadable Gold Edition combines the base Tropico 3 strategy simulator with the Absolute Power expansion into a single Steam code. It suits players who want the full island-management experience without managing separate installations. Activation is limited to select countries listed in the specifications.

Steam Activation and System Fit

The code redeems on Steam and requires an existing Tropico 3 base game in the same library to function. Minimum hardware calls for a 2.4 GHz single-core CPU, 1 GB RAM, 4.5 GB free drive space and a DirectX 9.0c graphics card with 256 MB VRAM supporting Shader Model 3.0 such as a Radeon X1600 or GeForce 6600.

Sustained Session Stability

Extended play relies on the modest DirectX 9.0c renderer and single-threaded engine, keeping thermal and memory pressure low during long city-building sessions. The lightweight footprint leaves ample headroom for background applications while the simulation calculates island economics continuously.

Questions about this item

Will the Steam DRM let me play offline after activation?

The game requires a Steam account for activation and installation; once installed, Steam's offline mode allows play without an internet connection.

Does the 256 MB DirectX 9c GPU requirement mean the game runs hot on modern cards?

The minimum spec calls for a DirectX 9c card with 256 MB RAM and Shader Model 3.0; modern GPUs far exceed this, so heat and noise are negligible.

Do I need to own the base Tropico 3 on Steam before this Gold Edition works?

Yes — the product notes state this content requires the base game Tropico 3 on Steam in order to play.
