System at a glance

The Kanto YU6MW is a powered bookshelf speaker pair rated at 200 W peak with 5.25" Kevlar drivers and 1" silk dome tweeters. The set includes matching SP26PLW fixed-height stands that raise each cabinet to 26" and allow 30 degree top-plate rotation for aimed listening. Bluetooth with aptX, a built-in phono pre-amp and multiple wired inputs cover turntables, TVs and portable sources in one package.

Connections to verify

Check that your source equipment offers at least one of the provided interfaces: 3.5 mm AUX, RCA with phono switch, optical TOSLINK or Bluetooth. A subwoofer output is available if you plan to add low-frequency reinforcement later. The USB port supplies charging current only and does not carry audio. Ensure a nearby AC outlet can power the active speaker.

Heat and acoustics

Class D amplification runs cool during typical living-room volumes and the MDF cabinets with internal bracing limit cabinet resonance. The stands use heavy-duty steel and foam padding to decouple the speakers from the floor, reducing vibration transfer. A supplied 16' speaker wire connects the passive unit, keeping cable clutter minimal while maintaining a clean signal path.

Questions about this item

What cables and accessories come in the box with the YU6MW speakers and the SP26PLW stands?

The package includes 16 ft of speaker wire, a 6.5 ft AUX cable, rubber feet for both speakers and stands, carpet spikes for the stands, and a remote control.

How do I decide between the 4-inch and 7-inch top-plates supplied with the SP26PLW stands?

Use the 7-inch top-plates to match the YU6MW footprint; the 4-inch plates are sized for the smaller YU4 series. Both rotate 30 degrees for aiming.

What does the 200 W peak-power rating mean for everyday listening?

It represents the maximum short-term output the built-in Class D amplifier can deliver; typical listening levels will use only a fraction of that power.
