What this camera does

The Kasa Smart EC60 is a wired indoor security camera that streams 1080p video over Wi-Fi. It is built for home owners who want live viewing, motion alerts and two-way audio on a phone or voice assistant without running network cables.

Storage capacity and limits

Footage records continuously to a microSD card up to 64 GB or to the optional Kasa Care cloud plan. The card slot keeps recording during a Wi-Fi outage, but once the card fills the oldest clips are overwritten unless you offload them manually.

The deciding spec: 130-degree field of view

A single fixed lens covers 130 degrees horizontally with night vision to 30 ft. If the room you watch is wider than that angle or you need to pan remotely, this camera cannot meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

Will the 10 ft USB cable reach my existing power strip if the camera sits on a high shelf?

The included 10 ft USB cable runs from the camera to a USB power adapter; measure your shelf-to-outlet distance to confirm reach.

How do I verify the 1080p feed and 30 ft night vision are working after I mount the EC60?

Open the Kasa app, start live view, confirm 1080p resolution, then darken the room and check that motion alerts trigger at up to 30 ft.

Does the box contain a MicroSD card for the 64 GB local recording slot, or must I buy one separately?

The package includes the camera, a 10 ft USB cable and mounting hardware; a MicroSD card up to 64 GB is sold separately.
