Kastar 4-Pack NP-FV50 Li-Ion Set

This kit supplies four 7.2 V lithium-ion batteries rated at 1550 mAh each, plus a compact AC wall charger with a foldable flat plug. It targets owners of compatible Sony Handycam and FDR models who need reliable spare power for long shoots or travel.

Replaces OEM NP-FV30 to NP-FV100 cells

The batteries slot directly into camcorders that originally shipped with NP-FV50, NP-FV70 or NP-FV100 packs, and the charger works in place of Sony BC-TRV, BC-VH1 or AC-VQH10 units. The upgrade is worth it when original cells no longer hold a full day’s charge or when a second charger is missing.

1550 mAh per cell with 8.4 V 600 mA charging

Each battery delivers 11.16 Wh, enough for several hours of typical HD recording on supported models such as the HDR-CX series or FDR-AX series. The charger’s LED shows red while charging and green once complete, but runtime drops quickly in cold weather or when using high-bitrate 4K modes.
