The foldable flat plug makes it easy to pack for travel or studio use. No battery is included in the pack.

Mains input range and charging current limits

The charger accepts AC 100 to 240 volts at 50 to 60 hertz, so it works on household mains worldwide without a voltage converter. Output is fixed at DC 8.4 volts and 600 milliamps, which matches the NP-FM500H specification. Because the current is capped at 600 mA, a fully depleted battery will take several hours to reach the green-LED standby state. Users who need faster turnaround between shoots cannot accelerate the process with this unit.

Plug-in installation with LED status

Installation is straightforward: unfold the flat pins, plug the charger into a wall socket and insert the NP-FM500H battery until it clicks. A red LED shows charging in progress; green indicates standby or full charge. The most common issue is a loose battery contact if the pack is not seated firmly, which leaves the LED on green while the cell remains empty. The foldable pins can stiffen after repeated folding, so check they lock open before each use.
