Dual USB charger for Canon camcorder batteries

The Kastar BP-718 charger accepts two Canon BP-709, BP-718 or BP-727 packs simultaneously. It suits owners of VIXIA HF R-series, HF M-series or LEGRIA models who need a compact spare or replacement charger. No battery is included in the pack.

Check battery model and USB power source

Confirm your camcorder uses one of the listed BP-series batteries before ordering. The charger requires a 5 V USB supply capable of 2 to 3 A (15 W) via Micro-USB or USB-C; verify your existing adapter or power bank meets that output. A Micro-USB cable is supplied.

LCD status display and interchangeable plates

The built-in LCD shows charge level and status for each slot independently. Interchangeable plates let the same unit handle different Canon battery types, reducing the number of chargers you carry. Output is 4.2 V at 800 mA per slot whether one or two batteries are fitted.

Questions about this item

Does the Kastar BP-718 charger include any batteries or do I need to buy Canon BP-718 packs separately?

The package contains one dual charger unit and a Micro-USB cable; Canon BP-718, BP-709 or BP-727 batteries must be purchased separately.

Which Canon battery models does this charger support for my VIXIA camcorder?

It charges Canon BP-709, BP-718 and BP-727 batteries, covering VIXIA HF R32, R36, R37, R38, R40, R42 and many other listed models.

What does the 800 mA output per bay mean when I charge two BP-718 batteries at once?

Each bay delivers 4.2 V at 800 mA simultaneously, so two batteries charge at the same rate without slowing down.
