Dual USB charger for Canon BP-727 series

This Kastar LTD2 unit charges two compatible Canon camcorder batteries simultaneously. It accepts BP-708, BP-709, BP-718 and BP-727 cells used across VIXIA and LEGRIA models from the HF R30 through HF R800 and HF M36 through HF M306 ranges. The charger ships without batteries and draws power from any 5 V USB source.

Check your battery model and USB power source

Verify that your camcorder uses one of the listed Canon BP-708, BP-709, BP-718 or BP-727 packs before ordering. The charger requires a USB supply capable of 2 A to 3 A at 5 V (15 W) to deliver full dual-slot output; lower-current ports will still work but may charge more slowly. A Micro-USB cable is included and the unit also accepts a Type-C plug.

Compact LCD charger with swappable plates

The housing measures 5 by 3 by 1 inch and features an LCD that shows charge status and capacity for each slot. Interchangeable plates let you adapt the bays for different battery types without tools. Micro-USB and Type-C inputs give flexibility when connecting to power banks, wall adapters or laptop ports during travel or studio sessions.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need to buy batteries separately?

The box contains one dual charger with interchangeable plates and a Micro-USB cable. No batteries are included, so you must supply compatible Canon BP-727 or BP-718 packs yourself.

Which battery models does this charger support?

It charges Canon BP-708, BP-709, BP-718, BP-727 and US 6055B002 cells. The swappable plate lets you fit any of those types in either of the two slots.

What does the 4.2 V 800 mA output mean for charge time?

Each slot delivers 4.2 V at 800 mA, so a typical 1 500 mAh BP-727 takes roughly two hours to reach full capacity when charged alone or in parallel.
