It fits a wide range of VIXIA HF R-series and HF M-series camcorders as well as LEGRIA models. The unit plugs directly into a mains socket and uses a foldable flat pin for compact storage. LED indicators show red while charging and green when the battery is full or on standby.

Replaces original CG-700 charger

This charger substitutes the Canon CG-700 and works with the same battery packs used in VIXIA HF R30, R32, R36, R37, R38, R40, R42 and higher-numbered models up to R800. It also covers HF M50, M52, M500 and numerous LEGRIA equivalents. The switch is worthwhile when the original charger is lost, damaged or when a second unit is needed for travel. Input voltage spans 100 to 240 volts at 50 to 60 hertz, so it operates worldwide with only a plug adapter.
