Kastar BP718 AC Wall Charger

This Kastar BP718 AC wall charger powers Canon VIXIA and LEGRIA camcorder batteries from a mains outlet. It accepts the BP-709, BP-718 and BP-727 cells used in many HF-series models. The foldable flat plug makes storage simple for travel or home use.

Check your battery model and mains voltage

Confirm that your camcorder uses a Canon BP-709, BP-718 or BP-727 battery before ordering. The charger operates on AC 100–240 V at 50–60 Hz, so it works on standard household supplies worldwide. No battery is included in the pack.

LED status frees you from guesswork

A red LED shows charging is in progress and a green LED signals standby or full charge, letting you unplug at the right moment. The compact 3-by-2-by-1-inch unit needs only a wall socket and a compatible battery. It replaces the Canon CG-700 charger without extra cables.

Questions about this item

Does the Kastar BP718 wall charger include a Canon BP-718 battery or only the charger itself?

The pack contains one AC wall charger with a foldable flat plug and no battery; compatible BP-709, BP-718 or BP-727 cells must be purchased separately.

Which Canon battery models does the BP718 charger support for the VIXIA HF R50 and LEGRIA HF M52 camcorders?

It charges Canon BP-709, BP-718 and BP-727 lithium-ion packs, covering the batteries used in the VIXIA HF R50, LEGRIA HF M52 and all other listed models.

What does the 4.2 V 600 mA output mean when charging a BP-727 battery in the camera?

The charger delivers 4.2 volts at 600 milliamps, so a typical BP-727 cell reaches full charge in a few hours with the red LED on and green when complete.
