Compact wall charger for Sony InfoLITHIUM V-series

This Kastar AC wall charger powers Sony NP-FV50, NP-FV70 and NP-FV100 lithium-ion batteries. It accepts 100 to 240 V mains input and delivers 8.4 V at 600 mA, making it a direct replacement for the original Sony BC-TRV and BC-VH1 chargers.

Foldable plug limits bulk but not voltage range

The foldable flat pins reduce the unit to roughly three by two by one inches for travel, yet the input range remains 100 to 240 V at 50 or 60 Hz. A red LED shows active charging and a green LED signals standby or full charge, so the user sees status at a glance.

Charges one V-series pack at a time

Capacity is defined by the single-bay design: it comfortably tops up one NP-FV50, NP-FV70 or NP-FV100 battery per cycle. It does not charge two packs simultaneously, nor does it power the camcorder directly while a battery is inserted.

Questions about this item

Which Kastar NP-FV50 charger version should I choose for my Sony NP-FV70 battery?

This single charger model works with NP-FV50, NP-FV70 and NP-FV100 batteries, so one unit covers all three capacities.

What does the 8.4 V 600 mA output mean when charging my camcorder battery?

It delivers 8.4 volts at up to 600 milliamps, matching the original Sony BC-TRV specification for NP-FV series packs.

Will the foldable AC plug work on 240 V mains in the UK?

Yes, the input accepts 100–240 V at 50–60 Hz, so the foldable flat pin works worldwide with a simple travel adapter.
