Kastar NP-FV50 AC Wall Charger

This Kastar charger powers Sony NP-FV50, NP-FV70 and NP-FV100 lithium-ion batteries from any 100–240 V mains socket. The foldable flat plug makes it compact for travel bags. It suits owners of Handycam, FDR-AX and HDR-CX models who need a spare or replacement mains unit.

Continuous charging behaviour

The unit delivers a steady 8.4 V at 600 mA, so a depleted battery reaches full charge in a predictable cycle rather than a quick top-up. LED indication stays red while current flows and turns green once the cell is saturated, removing guesswork during long shoots.

Thermals noise and power draw

With no fan the charger runs silently on a desk or nightstand. The low 600 mA output keeps the casing only mildly warm during extended sessions. AC input range of 100–240 V at 50–60 Hz allows worldwide use without a bulky transformer.
