Ready for 10 Gbps networks

This Cat 6 patch cable uses a 24 AWG bare-copper core and gold-plated RJ45 contacts to deliver up to 10 Gbps throughput. The seven-foot green length suits desktop, server, printer or router links in home and office LANs.

Meets TIA/EIA 568-C.2 Category 6

The cable is qualified to the TIA/EIA 568-C.2 standard, guaranteeing the bandwidth and crosstalk margins required for 10-Gigabit Ethernet while remaining backward compatible with existing Cat 5 installations.

Snagless boots ease routing

Moulded strain-relief boots protect the connector latch during pulls through cable trays or tight corners. The snagless design prevents the tab from catching on adjacent cables, reducing the risk of a broken latch that would require re-termination.

Questions about this item

What real-world speed can I expect from the 10 Gbps rating once the cable is installed?

The cable supports up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet speeds when connected to compatible 10 Gbps ports on both ends; actual throughput depends on your network equipment and environment.

What does the TIA/EIA 568-C.2 standard mean for this Cat 6 cable's performance ceiling?

It confirms the cable meets Category 6 specifications for bandwidth and crosstalk, ensuring reliable operation for 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to the standard distance limits.

Will the snagless RJ45 connectors and strain-relief boots fit tightly spaced ports on my switch or router?

Yes, the snagless design protects the locking tab while the strain-relief boots add minimal bulk, allowing the RJ45 plugs to seat cleanly in standard Ethernet ports.
