A Cat 6 ethernet cable with 24 AWG copper conductors, gold-plated RJ45 contacts, strain-relief boots, 550 MHz bandwidth and 10 Gbps speed
This 9 ft Cat 6 patch cable uses 24 AWG bare copper conductors with gold-plated RJ45 contacts and strain-relief boots. It is rated for 10 Gbps data transfer at 550 MHz and meets the TIA/EIA 568-C.2 standard. The snagless design protects the locking tab during installation and removal. Backward compatibility lets it work with existing Cat 5e and Cat 5 network equipment.
The cable suits desktop PCs, servers, printers, routers and other LAN devices that need a consistent wired connection. It is not intended for runs that require in-wall fire ratings, outdoor burial or shielded protection against strong electromagnetic interference. Builders who need longer permanent links or plenum-rated jacketing should look at a different cable type.
The 550 MHz bandwidth rating is the single specification that determines whether this cable matches the performance class required for a 10 Gbps Ethernet segment up to the supported distance.

The cable uses RJ45 connectors on both ends for standard Ethernet ports.
Press the boot latch down fully before inserting; the strain-relief boot prevents the tab from catching on adjacent cables.
Replace the cable if intermittent link lights or packet loss appear, indicating contact degradation.
