Five-module I2S amplifier kit

This pack contains three MAX98357 I2S audio amplifier modules ready for soldering. Each module accepts a single 2.5 V to 5.5 V supply and requires no master clock. The filterless Class D design suits microcontroller projects that expose an I2S audio stream such as Arduino, ESP32 or Raspberry Pi boards.

Thermals noise and power

Class D topology keeps heat low during normal playback at the rated 3.2 W into 4 Ω or 1.8 W into 8 Ω at 10 % THD. The digital input provides high noise immunity and jitter tolerance, while built-in electromagnetic-interference suppression allows long speaker leads without extra filtering. Selectable gain steps of 3 dB, 6 dB, 9 dB, 12 dB or 15 dB let you match output level to the speaker.

Build integration

Pin headers expose LRC, BCLK, DIN, GAIN, SD, GND and VCC for direct wiring to an I2S-capable host. The modules support sampling rates from 8 kHz to 96 kHz and auto-configure across 35 clock schemes and 128 digital audio formats.
