A bi-directional USB 3.0 switch lets two computers share one peripheral or one computer swap between two devices at up to 5 Gbps
The KEHIPI US-201A is a bi-directional USB 3.0 switch that lets two computers share one peripheral or one computer toggle between two devices. It suits office, teaching and meeting-room setups where a printer, scanner, keyboard, mouse or flash drive must be accessed from multiple hosts without replugging cables. No drivers or external power are required.
The switch handles USB 3.0 traffic up to 5 Gbps and remains backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. It comfortably manages typical peripherals such as printers, scanners, card readers and input devices, but bandwidth-heavy workloads like sustained high-speed storage arrays will saturate the single 5 Gbps link.
Operation is limited to the USB 3.0 specification of 5 Gbps shared across the active path, so simultaneous high-throughput transfers from both computers are not possible. The blue LED shows which host is currently connected, and switching is manual via the front button. The unit ships without a USB 3.0 cable, which must be sourced separately.
