Universal rear-view camera with license-plate kit

The Kenwood CMOS-320LP is a waterproof backup camera that mounts to a standard licence-plate frame. It connects to compatible head units and supplies a colour CMOS image with built-in parking guidelines. The package includes a 24.5 ft cable harness with data connections for straightforward routing through most vehicles.

Five selectable view modes

The camera offers five distinct perspectives: a 195° ultra-wide angle, a 135° wide angle, an overhead view and a split-screen corner view. Horizontal and vertical coverage reaches 195° and 145° respectively, so blind-spot visibility changes with the chosen mode. Installers must verify that the head unit supports mode switching over the supplied data link.

325 000-pixel sensor for low-light scenes

A 1/3.6-inch colour CMOS sensor rated at greater than 325 000 pixels operates from roughly 0.9 lux up to 100 000 lux illumination. The resolution comfortably handles close-range parking manoeuvres and night-time reversing, but fine detail such as distant licence-plate text will not be readable. The fixed lens and sensor size limit the useful recognition distance to a few metres behind the vehicle.
