A 6.8" WVGA capacitive touchscreen receiver with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, USB mirroring, HD Radio, 13-band EQ, 5.0 V pre-outs, three camera inputs and a short chassis.
The Kenwood DMX709S is a 6.8" WVGA capacitive touch multimedia receiver bundled with the CMOS-230LP license-plate backup camera. It targets drivers who want smartphone integration and a rear-view aid in a single package. The short-chassis head unit fits a wide range of dash openings without major modification.
The 6.8" WVGA panel uses capacitive touch, so it does not respond to gloved fingers or a plastic stylus. The supplied camera harness is 24.5' long, which restricts mounting positions on longer vehicles unless an extension is sourced separately. Three camera inputs are available, but only one camera is included.
The CMOS-230LP camera delivers a 128° horizontal and 103° vertical field of view from its 1/3.6" colour CMOS sensor with over 325,000 pixels. That width covers most lanes behind the car, but narrow driveways or tight alleys may still leave blind spots at the corners.

The receiver provides three pre-outs at 5.0 V, giving a strong signal for most aftermarket amps without needing a line-level booster.
The 6.8-inch screen delivers clear menus and responsive finger control for CarPlay, Android Auto and USB mirroring while driving.
A 128° horizontal and 103° vertical field covers the area behind the bumper, and the 1/3.6" sensor handles light from 0.9 to 100,000 lux for usable night images.
