KENWOOD eXcelon DNX697S 6.8 Navigation DVD Receiver

6.8-inch resistive touchscreen navigation receiver

The Kenwood eXcelon DNX697S is a double-DIN head unit built around a 6.8-inch Clear Resistive Touch Screen. It integrates Garmin navigation with 3D terrain view and supports wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The receiver also includes HD Radio and Bluetooth for hands-free calls and audio streaming. Four camera inputs with an included mini-plug-to-RCA cable expand visibility for parking and towing.

Upgrade from basic radio or single-camera setups

This unit replaces a factory stereo that lacks smartphone mirroring, multi-camera support or high-voltage pre-outs. The jump is worth it when you need three 5-volt gold pre-outs for external amplifiers, a 13-band EQ with time alignment and Hi-Res Audio playback up to 192 kHz / 24-bit FLAC and WAV. iDatalink Maestro readiness retains vehicle settings and data displays. Dual USB ports with one-metre extensions and a micro SD slot add media flexibility.

Suits drivers who want integrated navigation

The DNX697S fits owners who rely on Garmin mapping with three years of free updates and five years of free Inrix traffic and weather. It serves installers needing front-camera interruption, CMOS-320 control and DRV-N520 dash-cam linking. Buyers who require wireless smartphone projection, a capacitive touchscreen or a different navigation engine should look at other models.
