Network board for CB-485 systems

The KeyScan NETCOM2P is a dedicated network communications board designed to operate with CB-485 access-control hardware. It provides the data link that lets the controller exchange events and commands over the network. Installers working on new or expanding KeyScan deployments use this board to add IP connectivity to the CB-485 platform.

Steady operation in continuous duty

The board is built for always-on surveillance environments where the link must stay active around the clock. It handles constant packet traffic from card readers and door controllers without thermal throttling or watchdog resets. Sites that only need occasional polling or burst transfers will not benefit from the always-on design and should consider simpler interfaces.

Questions about this item

Does the NETCOM2P board generate noticeable heat or noise when it runs continuously?

The board is a passive network communications accessory with no moving parts, so it produces no audible noise and negligible heat during all-day operation.

What existing hardware is required for the NETCOM2P to function?

It is designed specifically for use with the CB-485 controller; that controller must already be installed for the board to operate.
