The Killark OC-5 provides a straight-threaded junction point for 1 1/2 in trade-size intermediate metal and rigid metal conduit. Its aluminium construction and powder-coated finish suit hazardous-location installations where corrosion resistance is required. The flat-back C-style body mounts directly to structural surfaces without additional brackets.

Sustained environment performance

Aluminium dissipates heat from conductors during continuous loading better than non-metallic alternatives. The powder coating maintains adhesion through thermal cycling and chemical exposure typical of industrial settings. Internal volume of 36 cu in reduces conductor crowding, lowering insulation stress over long service periods.

Trade-size interface limits

Threaded hubs accept only 1 1/2 in trade-size conduit; larger or smaller raceways cannot be connected without reducers or enlargers not supplied here. The compatible OL-450 cover is the sole listed closure; substitute covers may not maintain the hazardous-location rating. Straight orientation prevents use where angled pulls are needed.
