Multipurpose tie-down strap

The Kinedyne 711587PKGRA is a 15 ft polyester ratchet strap designed for securing cargo during transport. Its 1 in width and S-hook ends suit general-purpose tie-down tasks on trailers, roof racks or truck beds. The blue colour aids visibility while the zinc-carbon steel hardware resists corrosion. It meets WSTDA standards for cargo securement.

Working load and breaking strength

Normal use stays within the 400 lb working load limit, well below the 1,200 lb breaking strength. Polyester webbing stretches minimally under tension, keeping loads stable without sudden give. The ratchet mechanism locks tight without slippage, so vibration does not loosen the strap. No power draw or noise is produced during operation.

S-hook ends and six-month warranty

The S-hooks allow quick attachment to anchor points, D-rings or stake pockets without extra hardware. A six-month manufacturer warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship. No additional accessories, software or mounting brackets are included in the package.

Questions about this item

How do I thread the 1 in wide webbing through the ratchet without it jamming?

Feed the strap through the centre slot from underneath, pull all slack flat, then crank the handle — twisting the webbing is the step that causes binding.

What part of the 711587 strap wears first and needs replacing?

The polyester webbing frays at the S-hook contact points and the ratchet pawl spring loses tension after repeated 400 lb cycles.

At what load does the 15 ft strap hit its working limit during a long haul?

The 400 lb working load limit is reached first; sustained tension near that figure stretches the fibres before the 1,200 lb breaking strength becomes relevant.
