Terminates 110 block connections for telephone and high-speed data cables with adjustable HI and LO impact settings for 23AWG and 24AWG wires
The Klein Tools AM-918B is a spring-loaded impact tool designed to terminate cables on 110-style blocks. It suits electricians and network installers who need reliable connections on telephone and high-speed data lines. A cushioned ABS handle provides a non-slip grip for comfortable, repeated use.
This tool upgrades from hand-pressing wires or using a fixed-force punch by adding selectable HI and LO impact settings. Choose LO for 24AWG conductors typical of Cat5e and HI for 23AWG conductors found in Cat6 or Cat6A. The twist-and-lock bayonet socket accepts most manufacturers' blades, so you can keep existing blade inventory.
An internal spring delivers consistent kinetic force for fast, low-effort seating across long cable runs without operator fatigue. A rugged frame includes a storage compartment in the body for one spare blade. Two swing-out tools — a spudger/cable hook and a conductor removal hook — stay attached for immediate access during extended termination sessions.
