Questions about this item

Should I choose the D243-8 or another Klein Tools model for stripping and cutting?

The D243-8 is an 8-inch high-leverage diagonal cutting plier with built-in stripping capability. Other Klein models vary in length, leverage, and whether they include stripping holes.

What does the 8-inch overall length mean when I am working in a panel?

An 8-inch overall length gives a longer handle span for high-leverage cutting force while still fitting inside standard electrical enclosures and junction boxes.

Does the high-leverage design change the cutting capacity compared with standard diagonal cutters?

High-leverage pivot placement increases cutting force at the jaws, letting you cut harder wire with less hand effort than standard diagonal cutters of the same length.
