Eight-speaker in-ceiling bundle

This package contains eight KLH M-8602-C in-ceiling speakers designed for whole-home audio distribution. Each unit uses a 2-way sealed steel enclosure with a 6.5" Kevlar/fiberglass woofer and a 1" silk dome concentric tweeter. The speakers mount flush into standard ceiling cutouts for a discreet appearance.

Suits multi-room installs; not for portable use

Builders wiring a dedicated home theater or multi-zone background music system will appreciate the 8-ohm nominal impedance and 50W to 175W power handling range. Renters or anyone needing freestanding, portable speakers should look elsewhere because these require permanent ceiling mounting and an external amplifier.

Consistent output during long sessions

Sensitivity of 89dB at 2.83V/1m and a frequency response of 50Hz-20kHz ±3dB indicate stable tonal balance over extended listening periods. The sealed, tuned metal enclosure and 8.75" mounting depth help control resonance when the system runs at moderate to high volumes for hours.

Questions about this item

What amplifier power range matches the 50W-175W rating of each M-8602-C speaker?

Choose an amplifier or receiver that delivers between 50 and 175 watts per channel into 8 ohms to stay within the speaker's power handling limits.

Will the 8-ohm nominal impedance of these in-ceiling speakers work with my existing 8-ohm home theater system?

Yes, the 8-ohm nominal impedance matches standard home theater receivers, so the M-8602-C speakers will integrate directly without impedance-matching concerns.

How can I verify the speakers are performing correctly after installation?

Play a familiar track and listen for clear output from the 6.5-inch Kevlar/Fiberglass woofer and 1-inch Silk Dome tweeter across the 50Hz-20kHz range with no distortion at normal listening levels.
