Klipsch The Fives II Powered Pair

This pair of powered bookshelf speakers delivers a 2.1-channel system in an Ebony finish. A 5.25-inch Cerametallic woofer and titanium LTS tweeter with Tractrix horn produce a 50 Hz to 25 kHz frequency response and 103 dB maximum output. The MDF cabinets use genuine wood veneer and a bass-reflex rear port. Built-in amplification removes the need for a separate receiver.

Dolby Atmos Virtual Height And EQ

Dolby Atmos playback with virtual height channels adds overhead effects without extra speakers. Selectable modes include Music, Movie, Direct and Dialog Enhancement. A five-band equaliser and the supplied calibration microphone let you tune response to the room. High-resolution audio supports 96 kHz, 24-bit sources over USB-C or USB-A.

HDMI ARC Single-Cable TV Link

An HDMI 2.1 connection with ARC and CEC carries audio from a compatible TV over one cable and enables volume control from the TV remote. Additional inputs include RCA phono, RCA analog, optical digital, coaxial digital, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. RCA line-level and HDMI outputs allow subwoofer expansion or daisy-chaining. The system operates on 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz mains power.

Questions about this item

Will the rear-firing bass-reflex port need any periodic cleaning or adjustment?

The rear-firing port is a passive acoustic vent with no moving parts, so it requires no scheduled cleaning or adjustment.

What limits maximum output during extended high-volume playback?

The amplifier and drivers are rated for 103 dB maximum output; sustained levels at or near that figure will trigger thermal protection before any mechanical limit is reached.

How much heat does the built-in amplifier produce when the speakers run all day at moderate volume?

The Class D amplifier operates on 100 V–240 V 50/60 Hz mains power and remains cool enough for shelf placement during all-day use at typical listening levels.
