42-inch wide production matte paper roll

This 42-inch wide matte paper roll measures 100 feet in length and weighs 170gsm, supplied on a 2-inch core. It is designed for large-format inkjet printers and targets professional users producing posters, signage, graphics and photographic reproductions. The coated surface suits both dye and pigment inks.

Check printer roll width and core compatibility

Verify that your large-format inkjet printer accepts a 42-inch roll width and a 2-inch core diameter. Ensure the printer supports coated matte media of 170gsm weight for proper feeding and ink adhesion. Confirm ink type compatibility, as the paper works with both dye and pigment inks but water resistance requires pigment inks.

Fits large-format workflows and frees cutting time

The 100-foot roll length reduces roll changes during high-volume print runs, supporting continuous production of posters and technical drawings. The macroporous coating delivers instant drying, eliminating wait times before handling or laminating. Archival-grade construction resists fading and yellowing, preserving output quality for long-term display or storage.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need to buy a core adapter separately?

The box contains one roll of 42-inch wide, 100-foot long matte paper on a 2-inch core. No core adapter is included; you must supply one if your printer uses a 3-inch spindle.

Should I choose this 170gsm roll or a heavier weight for photographic reproductions?

At 170gsm this roll balances rigidity and feed reliability for posters, signage and photo reproductions. Heavier weights are not offered in this listing.

How does the 170gsm weight perform with pigment inks in a real production run?

The macroporous coating dries instantly with pigment inks and makes the prints water resistant, so 170gsm sheets handle high-speed output without cockling or smudging.
