Product identity

The Kodak PIXPRO AZ255 is a compact mirrorless camera with a 16MP CMOS sensor and 25x optical zoom. It suits casual photographers who want a lightweight red body and simple controls for everyday shooting and 1080p video.

Deciding specification

The 25x optical zoom covers wide-angle to telephoto without digital interpolation. Buyers who need interchangeable lenses or a larger sensor for low-light work should look elsewhere.

Capacity and headroom

The 16MP sensor delivers 4608x3456 JPEGs and 1080p video at 30fps with 22 scene modes. ISO tops out at 3200 and the pop-up flash reaches 7.1m wide, so indoor or fast-action scenes will show noise or limited reach.
