Compact 5x4 illuminated panel

The Kodak LED Light Box measures 20.8 by 25.6 centimetres with a 3.7 centimetre depth and provides an evenly lit white surface for viewing transparencies. It is built for photographers, archivists and artists who need a portable light source to examine or digitise slides, negatives and film strips. The panel delivers up to 98 percent colour accuracy while eliminating glare and hot spots.

Suited to mobile digitising and tracing

This unit serves users who want a lightweight, battery or USB powered board for scanning with a smartphone or camera, plus creatives tracing artwork, tattoo designs or calligraphy. It is not for technicians who require a larger viewing area for medium format sheets, nor for studio setups demanding mains only operation or adjustable colour temperature controls.

98 percent colour accuracy specification

The single figure that decides suitability is the 98 percent colour restoration claim, which exceeds the 92 to 95 percent range noted for inferior models. If faithful colour reproduction of transparencies is the priority, this specification confirms the panel meets that standard; if the workflow demands a different accuracy target or a bigger illuminated surface, another device is required.

Questions about this item

How do I power the RODLLP5X4 and which step is often missed?

Connect the included USB cable for continuous power or insert six AAA batteries for wireless use; the step often missed is installing batteries with correct polarity before switching on.

What maintenance will the light box need over time?

The LED panel is not user-replaceable; maintenance is limited to keeping the acrylic surface clean and replacing the six AAA batteries when brightness drops.

What limit appears first during extended scanning sessions?

Battery-powered operation will run down six AAA cells before the USB-powered mode hits any thermal or output limit.
