Portable 1080p Smart Projector

The Kodak Luma 450 is a battery-powered DLP projector with native 1920x1080 resolution and 200 ANSI lumens. It runs Android 9.0 for direct streaming and includes HDMI, USB 2.0, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. Weighing 1.2 pounds, it suits mobile professionals and casual viewers who need a self-contained display.

Upgrade from lower-resolution portables

This model replaces 720p or non-smart pico projectors that require external streaming sticks and mains power. The jump is worth it when you need native Full HD clarity, built-in apps and up to 3 hours of cordless operation for off-grid presentations or outdoor movies.

Limits of 200 ANSI lumens and Android 9.0

Brightness suits screens from 10 to 150 inches in darkened rooms but struggles with ambient light. The 3500:1 contrast ratio helps dark scenes, yet the OS version may lose app support over time. Auto focus and ±40° keystone correct geometry quickly, though they cannot overcome the lumen ceiling in bright environments.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions and weight of the Luma 450 so I can check if it fits in my bag?

How do I set up the auto focus and keystone correction, and what is the common mistake?

Place the unit on a stable surface; auto focus and ±40° vertical keystone align the image automatically. The common mistake is placing it on an uneven or tilted surface, which prevents the sensors from calculating the correct geometry.

The battery provides up to 3 hours of playtime per charge. The LED light source is rated for 30000 hours and is not user-replaceable.
