Compact 13-megapixel document camera

The AVerVision M15W is a wireless document camera built for educators who need a portable way to share physical materials on a large display. Its 13-megapixel sensor captures fine details of textbooks, experiments or student work. The mechanical arm provides a wide shooting range for flexible positioning. When folded, the unit measures 11 x 3 x 1.6 inches for easy storage.

Passive cooling with silent operation

The camera runs without active fans, so it adds no audible noise to a quiet classroom or meeting room. Power is drawn through a standard USB connection, keeping cable routing simple and power draw low. The compact chassis dissipates heat passively during extended lessons. No thermal management is required from the user.

Replaces bulky desktop visualisers

Teachers moving from heavy desktop document cameras gain a lightweight alternative that sets up in seconds. The wireless link removes the need for long video cables across the room. The jump is worth it when portability and quick sharing matter more than a fixed installation. It does not suit users who need built-in lighting or an integrated annotation display.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the M15W and what step is often missed?

Unfold the mechanical arm, connect the 4K output to the display, and pair the wireless link — the step many skip is confirming the wireless connection before positioning the 13 megapixel camera head.

What maintenance will the M15W need over time?

Clean the 13 megapixel lens periodically and check the mechanical arm joints for smooth movement; the compact 11 x 3 x 1.6 inch folded size makes storage safe when not in use.

What limit appears first during long sessions with the M15W?

The 1000 to 1499 lumen brightness range sets the practical limit — in brightly lit rooms the image may wash out before the 1400 x 1050 resolution becomes a factor.
