Compact 8x6 inch LED light box

The Kodak RODLLP8X6 is a slim, white LED panel designed for viewing and digitising slides, negatives and film strips. Its 98% colour-accuracy rating and glare-free acrylic surface make it suitable for photographers, archivists and artists who need faithful reproduction. The box is USB powered so it can run from a laptop, power bank or wall adapter. Lightweight construction allows it to be stored in a drawer or camera bag between sessions.

Check USB power and workspace

Verify that you have an available USB-A port or a compatible adapter capable of supplying 5 V power to the panel. Ensure your work surface can accommodate the 32.5 cm by 22.9 cm footprint with the 3.7 cm thickness. Confirm that your scanning application or camera setup can focus at the short working distance imposed by the slim profile. No external driver software is required for basic illumination.

Thermals noise and power

The LED array operates without a fan, so the unit is completely silent during use. Surface temperature remains low thanks to the low-power LED design and the acrylic diffuser spreading heat evenly. Power draw is limited to the USB 5 V supply, making it safe for extended sessions on portable power banks. No audible coil whine or warm-up delay has been reported in normal operation.
