Kohler K-4731-C-0 Elongated Seat

The Kohler K-4731-C-0 is a white elongated toilet seat designed for commercial and industrial fixtures. It fits elongated bowls with an open front and no cover. The external check hinge is made of plastic and helps control seat movement. This seat suits facilities that need a durable, standard-height option without a lid.

Installation And Common Issues

The seat mounts with standard bolts spaced for elongated bowls measuring 18 3/4 inches from bolt holes to the front edge. Plastic check hinges install quickly but can strip if over-tightened. The open-front design leaves no cover to align, reducing steps. Misalignment on non-elongated bowls is the most frequent fit problem.

Compatibility Checklist

Verify the bowl shape is elongated before ordering. Measure from the bolt holes to the front rim; it should be close to 18 3/4 inches for proper fit. Confirm the mounting holes accept standard bolt hardware. The seat height is 1 3/16 inches, so ensure clearance for users and any adjacent grab bars.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the external check hinge is functioning properly after installation?

The external check hinge should hold the seat at any angle without dropping; open and close it several times to verify smooth, controlled movement.

The listing says cover not included — what hardware comes in the box and what must I purchase separately?

The seat, plastic external check hinge and mounting bolts are included; a matching cover and any specialty tools are not supplied.

With a bolt-to-seat-front measurement of 18 3/4 in, how do I know this elongated seat fits my bowl?

Measure from the bolt holes to the front rim of your bowl; if that distance is 18 3/4 in the seat will align correctly.
