Converts HDMI 2.1 sources to DisplayPort 1.4 displays at up to 4K 120 Hz or 8K 30 Hz with USB power
The kolitt CAC-1335 active adapter converts an HDMI 2.1 source signal to a DisplayPort 1.4 input. It supports resolutions up to 3840x2160 at 120Hz or 7680x4320 at 30Hz. USB power is required via the included Micro USB cable. The male-to-female design connects laptops, desktops or gaming systems to a DP monitor or projector.
This unit replaces passive or lower-spec converters that cannot handle 4K at 120Hz or 8K at 30Hz. The jump is worth it when your source outputs HDMI 2.1 and your display requires a DisplayPort 1.4 connection for high refresh rates. It does not suit setups needing DisplayPort-to-HDMI conversion or bi-directional signal switching.
The adapter is uni-directional and only carries signals from HDMI to DisplayPort. Maximum output is capped at the DisplayPort 1.4 standard, so 8K resolution is limited to 30Hz. USB power must be connected before the display link is established. Lower-specification sources may not achieve the stated peak resolutions.

No published specifications for this item yet.
Yes, the adapter uses a standard HDMI 2.1 male plug for the source and a standard DisplayPort 1.4 female socket for the display cable, matching common graphics cards and monitors.
Connect the included USB Type-A to Micro USB cable to a power source first, then plug the HDMI male end into your device, and finally attach the DisplayPort cable from the female port to your monitor.
The adapter draws power via the Micro USB port using the supplied cable; no user-serviceable parts or scheduled maintenance are required for the active conversion circuitry.
