4 MP Turret Network Camera

The KT&C OMNI-IP turret camera captures colour video at up to 2688 x 1520 resolution using a 4 mm fixed lens and a CMOS sensor. It is designed for outdoor or indoor surveillance where a rugged, cable-connected IP camera is required. The turret form factor allows wall, pole or corner mounting for flexible placement.

Cable Connectivity and Video Formats

The camera connects via a single RJ-45 network cable for both data and power, so a PoE switch or injector is necessary on the network side. Video streams are encoded in H.264, H.264+ or Motion JPEG, which limits maximum resolution to 2688 x 1520 and does not support newer compression standards. Night vision is rated to 100 ft using integrated infrared illumination.

Mounting and Network Requirements

Verify that your mounting surface can accommodate a 3.8 in tall turret housing weighing 1.50 lb and that you have a suitable bracket for wall, pole or corner installation. Ensure the network infrastructure provides PoE power and that your recorder or VMS accepts H.264 or Motion JPEG streams at the camera's native resolution.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 4 MP model or a lower-resolution option for this turret camera?

The OMNI-IP turret delivers 4 megapixels at 2688 x 1520 maximum resolution, giving sharper detail than lower-resolution models for identifying faces or plates at distance.

What does the 2688 x 1520 resolution look like once the camera is mounted and recording?

At 4 MP the sensor captures 2688 x 1520 video, providing clear colour footage by day and IR-assisted monochrome up to 100 ft at night in H.264+ or Motion JPEG.

How does the RJ-45 cable connection limit bandwidth or recording features in practice?

The wired RJ-45 link carries H.264+, H.264 and Motion JPEG streams at full 4 MP resolution, supporting remote management and HD recording without wireless bottlenecks.
