Laptop platform for 15 inch MacBook

The Kupo Tethermate Small provides a 17.5 by 11.7 inch platform for a 15 inch MacBook or similarly sized laptop during tethered shooting. Integrated 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 female threads on the underside mount directly to tripods or compatible equipment. A non-slip pad and rounded plate edges help protect the device. Three mounting slots under the plate allow extra accessories to be attached.

Threaded tripod mounting

The single specification that decides fit is the dual-thread pattern on the base. Both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 female threads are present so the platform secures to standard photo and video supports without adapters. If your support uses a different thread size this unit will not connect directly.

Passive thermal and silent operation

The stand has no fans, motors or electronics so it adds no noise and draws no power during use. The aluminium plate conducts some heat away from the laptop base through simple contact. Rounded edges and the non-slip pad maintain airflow gaps without active cooling.

Questions about this item

How much laptop surface area does the 17.5" x 11.7" platform actually give me?

The platform measures 445 x 286.5 mm, providing a stable surface for a 15" MacBook or similarly sized laptop with room for a mouse or small accessories.

What do the 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 female threads on the underside let me mount this to?

They accept standard tripod heads, light stands, or any gear with matching male threads, so you can lock the stand directly onto your existing support equipment.

How does the U-shaped sliding plate with the spring locking knob secure the laptop?

The plate slides to fit the device, then the spring-activated knob locks it in place, while the non-slip pad and rounded edges keep the laptop from shifting during use.
