Conduit body for 1-1/2'' threaded runs

This LB-style conduit body is built for 1-1/2-inch threaded conduit systems and ships with its cover and gasket included. It gives installers a code-compliant access point for pulling, splicing or inspecting conductors in rigid or IMC raceways. The unit is supplied new and ready for field assembly.

Suited for electricians finishing a 1-1/2'' raceway

Contractors who need a standard LB fitting with the cover and gasket already in the box will find this unit convenient. Buyers working with smaller trade sizes, non-threaded conduit or a different body style such as LL, LR or T should select a matching fitting instead.

1-1/2'' trade size decides fit

The single specification that determines whether this part works is the 1-1/2-inch trade size stamped on the hub. If the conduit being installed is not 1-1/2-inch threaded rigid or IMC, this body will not connect. No other dimension or rating overrides that requirement.

Questions about this item

What conduit size does the 1-1/2'' LB body accept?

The LB150CG is threaded for 1-1/2 inch rigid or IMC conduit, matching the trade size marked on the hub.

Which step is most often missed when installing the cover and gasket?

Installers frequently forget to seat the supplied gasket fully in the cover groove before tightening the screws, which compromises the wet-location seal.

When should the cover gasket be inspected or replaced?

Check the gasket whenever the cover is removed for wire pulls or after any impact; replace it if it shows cracking, compression set, or chemical damage from the Proposition 65 substances.
