Compact Wireless Temperature Station

The La Crosse 308-148 is a compact wireless temperature station designed for home monitoring. It displays indoor and outdoor temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius alongside humidity readings. The unit features a tri-color LCD with HI/LO records and a 12-hour digital clock with calendar. It suits households wanting straightforward environmental data.

Easy Setup with Sensor Placement

Installation requires inserting two AAA alkaline batteries into the display and two into the included weather-resistant sensor. The sensor transmits up to 330ft (100m) but obstructions can reduce range. Common issues include weak signal icons or missing data if batteries are low or placement exceeds effective distance. Ensure sensor batteries are fresh for reliable operation.

Check Power and Mounting Needs

Before ordering, verify you have four AAA alkaline batteries available as none are included. The display measures 4.63 in x 0.79 in x 2.93 in and weighs 0.2 pounds, so confirm your chosen surface accommodates these dimensions. The operating and storage environment rating is 140 degrees_fahrenheit. No Wi-Fi or app connectivity is present on this model.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 308-148 station is receiving data from the outdoor sensor after setup?

Watch for the sensor strength icon on the tri-color LCD; a solid icon means the wireless link is active up to 330 ft.

What items are included with the 308-148 and which power sources must I supply?

The box contains the display console and one weather-resistant temperature and humidity sensor; you must provide four AAA alkaline batteries, two for each unit.

Which version of the 308-148 should I choose for monitoring both indoor and outdoor conditions?

The single model 308-148 already shows indoor and outdoor temperature in °F or °C plus humidity with HI/LO records, so no other version is needed.
