Indoor Climate Monitor

The Taylor TP53 digital hygrometer thermometer measures indoor temperature and relative humidity for home owners, greenhouse growers and parents monitoring a nursery. It displays current readings alongside all-time and 24-hour high and low records. A comfort-level icon shows at a glance whether conditions are dry, comfortable or wet. Two AAA batteries and a user manual are included in the box.

Sustained Accuracy

The sensor delivers temperature accuracy of ±2.0°F (±1.1°C) across a range of -58°F to 158°F and humidity accuracy of ±2% RH between 30% and 80% RH, widening to ±3% RH outside that band. Readings refresh every 10 seconds so trends update continuously during long monitoring sessions. The display stores both 24-hour and all-time extremes without needing a reset.

Placement Check

Verify that the intended location falls within the -58°F to 158°F operating range and 10% to 99% humidity range. Choose a mounting method: the integrated stand for shelves, the hanging hole for walls or the magnetic back for metal surfaces. Ensure the touch-activated backlight button on the narrow bezel remains accessible in low light.

Questions about this item

Does the backlight stay on all night or only when I touch it?

The backlight activates only when you touch the button below the display; it is not a permanent night light.

What is included in the box so I can start using it immediately?

The package contains the TP53 monitor, two AAA batteries and a user manual.

Can I still read the comfort indicator and trend arrows if my room drops below freezing?

Yes — the sensor operates from –58 °F to 158 °F, so the comfort icons and trend arrows remain visible in sub-zero conditions.
