Low-Band Unity-Gain Antenna

The Laird C34 is a new DC-ground base-loaded antenna built for 34-37 MHz low-band operation. It presents unity gain and a 500 watt power rating for professional mobile-radio installations.

34-37 MHz Coverage and Power Handling

The antenna covers the 34-37 MHz low band with unity gain, delivering consistent performance across that range. It handles up to 500 watt, so it suits high-power transmitters while running out of headroom beyond that rating.

NMO Mount and Ground-Plane Requirements

Installation requires an NMO mount and a metal ground plane to operate correctly. The NMO interface frees the installer from permanent drilling, while the ground-plane dependency means non-metallic roofs or fibreglass bodies will not support proper radiation without an added ground plane.

Questions about this item

Will this 34-37 MHz antenna work with the NMO mount already on my vehicle roof?

Yes, the antenna requires an NMO mount for installation, so it will fit your existing NMO base.

How can I confirm the antenna is performing correctly after I install it?

Check for low SWR across the 34-37 MHz range and verify the DC ground continuity with a multimeter.

Does the box include the NMO mount and coaxial cable, or do I buy them separately?

The antenna is sold alone; an NMO mount and suitable coaxial cable must be purchased separately.
