Cooling for Home and Work

The Lasko 1820 is an 18-inch pedestal fan built for offices, classrooms, studios and homes. Its three-speed motor and 60-degree oscillation spread airflow across large rooms. The white finish and elegant grill suit a variety of interior styles.

Adjustable Height and Safety

Height adjusts from 38 to 54.5 inches without tools, and the tilt-back head directs air where needed. The 11.3-pound plastic body is light enough to move between rooms. An ETL-listed fused safety plug adds electrical protection.

18-Inch Blade with Three Speeds

The 18-inch diameter blade is the specification that sets the cooling capacity. Three energy-efficient speed settings let you match airflow to the space. Buyers needing a smaller footprint or battery operation should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the 120 V fused safety plug limit the current draw on this Lasko 1820?

The ETL listed fan includes a patented fused safety plug that interrupts power if an overload occurs, protecting the 120 V circuit without requiring a separate breaker.

What floor area does the 20.5 inch base need for stable operation?

The pedestal footprint measures 20.5 by 20.5 inches, so allow at least that much clear floor space plus a few inches for the oscillating grille sweep.

How is the height pole secured, and what step is often missed?

The pole locks into the base with a threaded collar; the step people skip is tightening that collar fully before clipping on the motor housing, which prevents wobble at 54.5 inches.
