What this cord is for

This LBSC power extension cord adds one foot of reach to a standard North-American 125 V outlet. It carries a NEMA 5-15P grounded plug and a matching NEMA 5-15R receptacle so any three-prong device can connect without an adapter. The flat right-angle plug sits close to the wall, letting furniture sit flush. Rated for indoor use only.

Rating that decides fit

The cable uses 14 AWG conductors rated for 15 A and 1875 W at 125 V. That capacity covers most household appliances such as a microwave, blender, laptop, TV or refrigerator. Do not exceed the 1875 W limit or the cord will overheat. UL listing confirms the construction meets the relevant safety standard for this rating.

Heat, noise and draw

A passive copper cord generates no audible noise and draws no power of its own. Under normal load the 14 AWG wire runs cool to the touch; only sustained operation near the 1875 W ceiling produces noticeable warmth. The flexible jacket coils easily for storage without kinking.

Questions about this item

What does the 1875 W rating mean when I plug this cord into a wall outlet?

It is the maximum power the cord can carry continuously at 125 V and 15 A; do not run appliances that draw more than 1875 W through it

What does the NEMA 5-15P plug and 5-15R connector limit in everyday use?

They cap the cord at 15 A and 125 V, matching standard North American household outlets

How much clearance does the 45-degree flat plug need behind furniture?

The low-profile right-angle design lets the plug sit flush against the wall so furniture can be pushed close without bending the cable
