3x1-1/4 Reducing Coupling

The Legend Valve 450-442P is a press-type reducing coupling designed to join a 3-inch fitting end to a 1-1/4-inch press connection. It suits plumbers and contractors assembling water or hydronic piping systems where a secure, flame-free joint is required. The component is supplied new and carries the manufacturer's branding.

Verify pipe material and press-tool compatibility

Confirm that the existing piping is approved for press fittings and matches the fitting-end and press-end dimensions shown in the supplier data. Ensure the correct press jaw profile and tool calibration are available for the 1-1/4-inch press end. Check local codes for any restrictions on press connections in the intended application.

Replaces threaded or soldered reducing couplings

This coupling replaces traditional threaded or soldered reducers when a faster, flame-free installation is preferred. The jump is worthwhile on projects where labour savings from press technology outweigh the fitting cost and where system pressure and temperature ratings align with press-joint limits.
