Product identity

The Legend Valve 450-444P is a 3" x 2" reducing coupling designed for press-to-fitting connections in plumbing systems. It joins pipe of two different diameters in a straight run and is supplied new for professional and residential installations.

Capacity and headroom

The coupling bridges a three-inch press end to a two-inch fitting end, handling the flow transition between those sizes. It is not intended for joints that require a larger step-down or for applications needing a threaded or soldered interface instead of press.

Build integration

The component fits into press-tool workflows and requires compatible press jaws for the stated diameters. It eliminates the need for separate reducers and couplings, reducing joint count and potential leak paths in the assembled line.

Questions about this item

Will the 450-444P reducing coupling join my existing 3" and 2" copper pipes without extra adapters?

The 450-444P is a 3" x 2" fitting-by-press reducing coupling designed to connect those two pipe sizes directly with compatible press tools.

How can I verify the 450-444P is pressed correctly after installation?

Inspect the press indicator ring on each end; a complete, even press mark shows the joint is properly formed and leak-free.

Does the 450-444P box include press jaws or sealing elements, or must I buy them separately?

The coupling ships as the fitting only; press jaws, compatible press tool and any required sealing elements are sold separately.
