Legend Valve 450-535P Reducing Coupling

This Legend Valve 450-535P press reducing coupling connects 1-1/4 inch and 1/2 inch piping in plumbing systems. It is designed for professional installers and maintenance crews who need a reliable press-fit transition. The new fitting arrives ready for immediate use on compatible press tools.

Capacity and headroom

The coupling joins two different pipe diameters in a single press operation, reducing inventory for common size transitions. It handles standard plumbing pressures for water and hydronic applications where press fittings are approved. The fitting is not suited for systems requiring threaded or soldered joints instead of press connections.

California Proposition 65 compliance

This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Installers should follow local safety regulations and wear appropriate protective equipment when handling. The Proposition 65 notice is the primary regulatory specification that determines suitability for projects in California.

Questions about this item

Will the 450-535P press reducing coupling connect to my existing 1-1/4" and 1/2" copper pipes without soldering?

Yes, the press design joins both pipe sizes mechanically, so no torch or flux is needed.

How can I verify the 450-535P coupling is sealed correctly after pressing?

Perform a standard pressure test on the system; a leak-free hold confirms the press joint is sound.

Does the 450-535P box include press jaws or must I supply my own?

Only the reducing coupling is supplied; compatible press jaws for the tool are sold separately.
