1/72 Scale Ilyushin IL-2 Shturmovik Diecast Model

This 1/72 scale diecast model replicates the Ilyushin IL-2 Shturmovik flown by the 3rd Squadron of the 505th Air Assault Regiment, 226th Air Assault Division during the Battle of Stalingrad in 1942. It features detailed exterior panel lines, antennas, access panels and surface details for an authentic representation. The model is constructed from diecast metal with some plastic parts for durability and a heavy, realistic feel. It arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging with a display stand included.

Collectors and Military History Enthusiasts

This model suits collectors and hobby enthusiasts seeking a highly detailed, officially licensed replica of a specific Soviet Air Force aircraft from the Battle of Stalingrad. It is designed for adult display rather than play. Buyers who want a model with opening canopies, movable control surfaces or interior cockpit detail should look elsewhere, as this model has no openings. It is also not intended for those seeking a toy for children or a flying model.

Ready-to-Display with Included Stand

Installation is straightforward: simply remove the model from the box and place it on the supplied display stand. No assembly, tools, glue or batteries are required. The most common issue is the model's fixed configuration; because it has no openings, the canopy, hatches and landing gear cannot be repositioned. Handle the diecast metal and plastic parts carefully to avoid bending delicate antennas or panel details during placement.
