Scale and Subject

This 1/72 scale diecast model reproduces the Vought F4U-1 Corsair flown by 2nd Lt. James N. Cupp of VMF-213 at Guadalcanal in 1943. It is made from diecast metal with plastic parts for a heavy, realistic feel. The finish shows panel lines, antennas and access panels. The model measures approximately 5.375 inches long with a 6.5 inch wingspan.

Included Stand

A display stand is supplied in the box so the aircraft can be shown in a flying attitude without extra hardware. The model itself has no openings, so the exterior remains clean and uninterrupted. Manufacturer packaging is original and unopened. These items arrive ready for immediate display.

Collectors and Display Only

The accurate markings and fixed configuration suit military-history enthusiasts who want a finished replica. Buyers who need opening canopies, movable control surfaces or interior detail should look elsewhere. The solid construction also means it is not intended for rough play or younger children.

The model uses diecast metal with some plastic parts for durability; no maintenance is required beyond occasional dusting of the display stand.

What limits how long it can stay on the stand without risk?

As a static 1/72 scale collectible with no moving parts or openings, it has no operational limits and can remain displayed indefinitely.

Does the model generate any noise, heat or draw power when displayed all day?

It is a non-electronic diecast airplane with no batteries or motors, so it produces no noise, no heat and consumes no power.
