Refurbished ThinkPad T460 for office work

This 14.0-inch laptop ships with Windows 10 Pro and an Intel Core i5-6300U running at 2.40GHz. It carries 8GB of DDR3 memory and a 128GB SATA SSD for quick boot and file access. The unit is graded refurbished with little-to-no wear and includes an AC adapter.

Thermals noise and power in daily use

Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 keeps heat output low during document and web tasks. The SSD has no moving parts, so the system runs silently and draws less power than a hard-drive model. A 14.0-inch non-touch screen and compact 13.35 x 9.15 x 0.83-inch chassis help the battery last through a typical workday.

Webcam and Wi-Fi only

The box adds a built-in webcam and Wi-Fi for video calls and network access. Bluetooth is not included, so wireless peripherals need a separate dongle. Memory can be expanded to 32GB if workloads grow beyond the installed 8GB. The optical drive bay remains available for legacy media or extra storage.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 2.5 SATA 128GB SSD and what step is often missed?

Remove the bottom cover, secure the drive with the caddy screws, then connect the SATA data and power cables; the step often missed is re-seating the battery connector before closing the case.

What maintenance or replacement will the Lithium Ion battery need later?

The internal Lithium Ion pack will lose capacity over time; plan to replace it when run-time drops below your needs, using a compatible ThinkPad T460 battery.

What limit appears first during sustained use with Intel HD Graphics 520?

The integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 shares system memory, so extended 3D or video workloads hit thermal throttling and shared-RAM bandwidth limits before the CPU does.
